There’s this marathon called Shake, Rattle and Run. It was held on a Holloween night, a fun run and there are people in monster costumes that are supposed to be scaring you while you run.
Of course, they end up making you laugh but it’s a good Holloween trip.
So are these movies that use monsters and supernatural elements to make you laugh.
10. Santa s Slay
Director: David Steiman
In this story, Santa is supposed to have been a demon who lost lost a bet with an angel. He was then forced to give happiness to the world but that didn’t make his evil soul go away so when the bet expired, the returned to his real nature – killing people.
9. Tremors
Director: Ron Underwood
It’s about this unidentified creature who lives underground and just pops in whenever he is hungry to swallow whoever happens to be standing above him at that time. I am not sure if they intended to make this movie serious.
8. The Return of the Living Dead
Director: Dan O’Bannon
Some stupid employee emitted some kind of gas that gave life to the dead. The dead went on a killing rampage.
7. Botched
Director: Kit Ryan
I like Stephen Dorf as an actor and I like him even more in this funny movie where he became the lone survivor of a heist. He was then forced to deal with serial killers, insane hostages, double-crossing psycho Russian hardmen and the real possibility of a horrible death.
6. Satan s Little Helper
Director: Jeff Lieberman
A boy wore a costume similar to the characters in the a video game called “Satan’s Little Helper”. He then meets a serial killer who is wearing the costume of Satan. They found each other and decided to terrorize the locals.
5. Evil Dead 2
Director: Sam Raimi
Ash and his girlfriend Linda goes to a secluded cabin and recited passages from some evil book. They didn’t now that the spell summoned the evil force that turned Linda into a monstrous Deadite and threatens to do the same to Ash.
4. Dead Alive
Director: Peter Jackson
A woman gets bitten by an animal and dies only to be resurrect and kill others.
3. Ghostbusters
Director:Ivan Reitman
I will not be surprised most of you would think that this movie should be number one. I miss these guys and I hope they become make another one.
2. Young Frankenstein
Director: Mel Brooks
The mature frankenstein was already funny for me. Making a minime version takes the cake.
1. Shaun Of The Dead
Director: Edgar Wrigh
Hands down funny.
When a man decides to reconcile with his his ex-girlfriend and estranged mother with his mother by dealing with an entire community that has returned from the dead to eat the living, it simply forces you to say, “What?”
