Today, children with autism how to detect more diverse and more practical. One of them, now researchers in England and Australia are developing a way to detect autism in children is only by testing their urine.
Autism test was studied to determine whether a child has an autistic condition only used a few drops of urine, like a pregnancy test, as quoted from page Aol.com
Jeremy Nicholson of Imperial College London and a team of Australian scientists have been testing this new method of detection of autism, which is still in early stages of development.
If this project proves successful, the parents are suspicious of any signs of autism in their children do not need to budget large enough to diagnose this disease. It also can help parents provide autism therapy much earlier in children.
"Therapy can be beneficial and more optimal in children with autism when it is done as early as possible," Nicholson said, according to a report in the 'Journal of Proteome Research'.
According to Nicholson, the test is based on previous studies that found that people with autism have different bacteria in their stomachs than those who do not. As a result, their urine has a 'fingerprint' different chemistry than children without symptoms of autism.
"Metabolism and gut bacteria can indeed reflect a variety of things, including lifestyle and genes. We hope these findings will be the first step to creating a simple urine test further," said Nicholson.
The researchers plan to use these clinical trials on hundreds of children. If proven effective, autism urine test could be available by 2015, according to the Daily Mail.
