Charlie Sheen rushed to hospital

“Two and a Half Men” star Charlie Sheen was rushed to the hospital Thursday morning, according to The Hollywood Reporter. According to his representative Stan Rosenfield, he was suffering from severe abdominal pain.

TMZ reported that the 911 call was placed around 6:35 a.m. Sheen was taken out of his home on a stretcher around 7 a.m. After arriving at L.A.’s Cedars-Sinai Hospital, doctors carried out tests and are awaiting results. His family members–father Martin Sheen, mother Janet Templeton, and ex-wife Denise Richards, are with Sheen at the hospital. Sheen’s medical condition will not affect the taping of “Two and a Half Men”; the show is currently on hiatus.

TMZ reports that neighbors have said that Sheen threw a party last night and that women singing loudly could be heard. According to the neighbors, the party went on into the early hours of the morning.

This, of course, isn’t the first time Sheen’s antics have gotten him into trouble as well as cause strife for the people around him. Recently Sheen’s “Two and a Half Men” co-star Jon Cryer said on “Conan” that working with Sheen is “always a little weird…the stuff you hear is just unbelievable. I mean like… I’m checking TMZ, as I do everyday, to know if I have to go to work at all.”

CBS is also concerned about Sheen, citing that while his personal life is disconcerting for them, they also rely on him due to his professional attitude about work. CBS President Nina Tassler told Los Angeles TV critics that “[CBS has] a high level of concern. How could we not? This man is a father. He’s got children. He has a family. So obviously there’s concern on a personal level. But you can’t look at it simplistically. Charlie is professional. He comes to work. He does his job extremely well. It’s very complicated.”
